William Hung…definitely not a very good singer nor a very good dancer. And he doesn’t have that typical pop star look.

Despite this, William has

• a CD
• a fan club
• a web site and
• a merchandise line so you can also purchase William Hung tshirts, mugs, keychains, stickers and magnets

He’s also been a performer at various sporting events and half time shows.

There is something wrong with this picture. There are a lot of people out there, including myself, who can sing just as badly as he can, and we don’t have a CD, fan club, website, or merchandise line.

Why does this guy have such a big following? I was curious … so I checked his website at www.williamhung.net I read some of his fan mail and it all began to make sense …

Many of his fans did not see William as someone who can’t sing and can’t dance. They looked beyond these superficial attributes and saw someone who had

• a lot of courage,
• a lot of spunk,
• a lot of passion
• and a lot of heart.

His fans are so right! William went after his dreams to be a singer and auditioned for American Idol. He didn’t care what people thought or if people laughed at him.

He sang off key, but he sang with heart … and look at where he is now.

So think about your dreams … and don’t be afraid of failing or people laughing.

If you don’t chase your dreams, you don’t have anything to lose, but if you do chase your dreams, you have so much to gain.
