Meeting Theme: Decision Making
Hello Fellow Toast Master Members,
It is an honor to chair our next Wednesday (May 31) meeting. The meeting theme is Decision Making.
Have you heard the Bible story of what happened in the Garden of Eden? The first couple Adam and Eve made terrible decisions and resulted in their permanently lost their lives and also bring death to all of us. Not every decision is a life-and –death matter. However, many of our decision can have profound effect on us. Hence, the ability to make good decisions can help us to a relatively smooth, peaceful life rather than one that is full of chaos, controversy and disappointment.
Sometimes I even think that life would be more pleasant if I don’t have to make decisions. Others say when you don’t know what to do: just follow your heart.
Friends, what do you think? Do you prefer others to make decisions for you? Do you incline to follow your heart when making decisions? Why or why not? What is your thoughts on how to make wise decision? Please share your wisdom to your fellow toaster members. I look forward to your response to the theme.
Can everyone who had been assigned a role to confirm by accepting the role online (www.easy-speak.org). There are still few more roles to be filled. Please sign up to experience the joy and contentment at our next meeting. You sure made good decisions by participating the meeting.
Theme: Power of Hugs
“If you’re angry at a loved one, hug that person. And mean it. You may not want to hug – which is all the more reason to do so. It’s hard to stay angry when someone shows they love you, and that’s precisely what happens when we hug each other.”
― Walter Anderson, The Confidence Course: Seven Steps to Self-Fulfillment
Have you ever had the kind of busy day that perhaps leaves you feeling a bit physically disconnected? I have, and I rarely notice this until someone comes up and places a hand on my back to get my attention, and my brain says, “Wow…that felt really good.” 😉
The simplest human touch when one isn’t expecting it, or even when one is expecting it, can deliver such joy and contentment. A hug is a step up, and so many of us don’t meet our daily hug quota.
Next week you will get to know how many hugs you will need for survival, how many you will need for maintenance and how many you will need for growth.
Tell me how you feel about hugging and being hugged. Do you feel uncomfortable if you are hugged by an opposite sex or same sex person? Please email me your answers to the theme by Tuesday.
Can everyone who had been assigned a role to confirm by accepting the role online (www.easy-speak.org). There are still few more roles to be filled. Please sign up to experience the joy and contentment at our next meeting with hugs.
Happy Monday! I am excited to chair the meeting on this coming Wednesday May 10th. We are still looking for speakers and plenty of roles are still available – please sign up to take your stage time at the link below:
The theme this Wednesday will be on Moms, grandmums, wives, and any women that have made an impact on your life – in celebration of Mother’s Day coming up next Sunday! What are some examples that your mom/grandmom/wife has done for the family that you really appreciate or admire? What are some key traits that make her who she is? What are some traditions your family has for celebrating Mother’s Day? How will you be celebrating this year?
Please send me your response to the theme "Mother’s Day".
