  • Welcome attendees and guests with a brief introduction
  • Get members to introduce guests (explain purpose of clapping)
  • Urge guests for comments at the end and participation in table topics
  • Introduce Officers for the evening (make changes where necessary)
  • Business session – (Open with rap of the gavel)
  • “I open the business session with a reading of the minutes” – secretary to read minutes
  • “Are there any errors or omissions”
  • “I adopt the minutes as read”
  • “Is there any business arising out of the minutes”
  • “Is there any new business”
  • “Are there any announcements”
  • “I now adjourn the business session”
  • Joke/Gruntmaster
  • Wordmaster/Grammarian
  • Toastmaster
  • Voting and Timings to be completed (if missed by Toastmaster)
